John Kissee
I am honored to have John Kissee not only gracing the cover to Piper Houdini: Apprentice of Coney Island with his magnificent artwork, but as an added treat depicting some of the characters within this site for whom there were no photographs. John was my fellow collaborator when I originally envisioned Piper in the early 2000s as graphic novel taking place in modern times.
A native of Miami, Florida, John uses vibrant colors, distorted shadows, and complex arcane backgrounds to tell a narrative in his work. His moody and stylized art can be enjoyed in the pages of the award winning future-noir comic series The Dark Fringe graphic novel and elsewhere. Piper Houdini: Apprentice of Coney Island is his first novel cover.
